Kauai Lagoons offers two amazing golf courses the Jack Nicklaus
designed Kiele Course, with gorgeous ocean views and the gentler
Mokihana Course, a Scottish style links course that features open
fairways and well-guarded, small undulating greens. Kauai Lagoons
is everything you imagine Hawaiian golf to be, simply: golf in
paradise. 
Overlooking the gateway to the island of Kauai in Hawaii. The

grandeur – a combination so alluring that in 1998, it
was named by Golf Magazine to its elite list of Gold Medal golf
resorts. The Kiele course has the most ocean holes than any
other golf course in Hawaii. It is said that when legendary
golfer and architect Jack Nicklaus created the Kiele Course
at Kauai Lagoons, the terrain lent itself so well to his vision
that he made but a single change to his original design. Little
wonder that this incredible par 72 resort course — one
of two award-winning Nicklaus layouts at Kauai Lagoons —
continues to receive accolade after accolade for being one of
the finest golf gems in the Pacific.
Overlooking
the gateway to the island of Kauai in Hawaii. The resort exudes

The Mokihana Course is the second Jack Nicklaus course at
Kauai Lagoons. The courses is a 6,900 yard par 72 resort layout
crafted with Scottish style rolling links. Previously the
Lagoons Course, the layout underwent a soft renovation in
its landscaping and was renamed in 1999 to pay tribute to
its Hawaiian heritage. Designed for players of all skill levels,
the course is marked by its open fairways and, compared with
its more demanding sister course, by its relative lack of
forced carries. The real challenge of the Mokihana are its
undulating greens, which will challenge the best of putters.
The Mokihana has been rated by Golf Magazine as one of the
ten most playable in America, and proffers outstanding views
of Mt. Waialeale, the extinct volcano that created the island
of Kauai. Its more hospitable nature is a perfect complement
to the more challenging Kiele. 
Kiahuna
Golf Club offers challenging resort golf within a fascinating
area of ancient Polynesian archeology. Enjoy your game surrounded
by the lush, natural beauty of Kauai and its historical Hawaiian
culture. World famous golf architect, Robert Trent Jones,
Jr., skillfully included many ancient remnants of an authentic
Hawaiian village into the design of Kiahuna Golf Course. Your
experience will be the beauty of the course as well as a sense
of the enduring history of the region. This challenging short
course has narrow fairways. The course is structured around
many ancient remnants of authentic Hawaiian culture. A golfer
will encounter unusual obstacles such as lava walls and stone
structures. 
Poipu
Bay features a spectacular 18-hole championship course on
210 oceanfront acres on Kauai's southern coast. Since 1994,
the Poipu Bay Resort Golf Course has been the home of the
PGA Grand Slam of Golf; an event claimed to be the world's
most exclusive golf tournament.
The
Princeville at Hanalei Makai Course, another Robert Trent Jones,
Jr. creation, has been included in Golf Digest's "America's
100 Greatest Gold Courses" for 16 consecutive years. Really
three courses in one, the Ocean Nine overlooks the Pacific,
the Lakes Nine winds its way around serene lakes, and the Woods
Nine is nestled amid native woodlands. The Makai Course, another
Robert Trent Jones, Jr. creation, has been included in Golf
Digest's "America's 100 Greatest Gold Courses" for
16 consecutive years. Really three courses in one, the Ocean
Nine overlooks the Pacific, the Lakes Nine winds its way around
serene lakes, and the Woods Nine is nestled amid native woodlands.
Golf Digest also lists the Makai Course in its Top 50 Resort
Courses and rates it as the Number 6 course in Hawaii. 
The Princeville at Hanalei Prince Course is one of the top golf
courses in America, The Prince is Robert Trent Jones, Jr.'s
masterpiece. Golf Digest named The Prince Course the Number
1 golf course in the State of Hawaii. Golf Digest also rated
it Number 5 of the Top 75 Resort Courses in the world, and Number
66 of "America's 100 Greatest Courses." The Prince
is one of Hawaii's most challenging golf courses, with a USGA
course rating of 75.3 and a 145 slope. Five different tees on
each hole allow you to set your own challenge, so even the worst
duffer can spend an enjoyable day at this wonderful course.
After a challenging round golfers can relax and enjoy themselves
in the adjoining Princeville Golf Club, one of the most magnificent
golf and clubhouse facilities in the world. 
Imagine
yourself walking up to the tee with a view of the sparkling
Pacific Ocean and majestic Mount Haupu towering over you. This
isn't a dream.... this is Puakea Golf Course. Robin Nelson,
Hawaii’s most prolific golf course architect, designed
the course to play around deep ravines and streams fed by fresh
mountain rain water. With the inspirational terrain and calming
mountain range backdrop, you'll find Puakea Golf Course to play
differently under a variety of weather conditions of wind and
water. Nelson’s masterful architecture clearly conveys
the routes one should take to achieve textbook pars. He hints
enticingly at ways to achieve challenging birdies, but that
gamble can quickly turn into bogey or worse. For
nearly 7 years, Puakea was a glorious oddity – a 10-hole
truncation thanks to Hurricane Iniki. She halted course development
in mid-stream and wreaked havoc on the local economy, which
forced the golf course to change hands before completion. In
2003, the new ownership chose to complete this unfinished diamond
and gave acclaimed golf course architect Robin Nelson a mulligan
for the remaining eight holes. That was the best news imaginable
because, even in its incompleteness, Sports Illustrated thought
enough of Puakea to name it one of the best 9-hole golf courses
in the United States. 
Wailua
Municipal Golf Course is regularly rated as one of the top
public or municipal courses in the United States. A tribute
to that ranking is the fact that three men's U.S.G.A. Amateur
Public Links Amateur Golf Championships were held there -
in 1975,1985 and 1996. The course is the oldest on Kauai and
the first golf layout to be built on any of Oahu's neighbor
islands. Toyo Shirai, who was inducted into the Hawaii Golf
Hall of Fame in 1989, designed the back nine and reshaped
the front nine in 1962. But Wailua originally was opened back
in 1920 with only six holes. Then, as interest in golf increased
on the island, it was expanded to nine holes by golf legend
Francis H. I'i Brown. The beautiful par-72 Wailua course measures
a formidable 6,631 yards from the regular tee boxes, with
many of the tee shots going into strong tradewinds from the
nearby Pacific Ocean.
